I live in Big Ten country. They instituted a conference tournament here a couple years ago after years of resistance and discussion and I don't think that it has caught on or really enhanced anything accept tv revenues. There's no history behind it, unlike the ACC tournament.

I've always rebelled against the concept of the wildcard team and so haven't really felt comfortable with its use in the ACC tournament. This sentiment must come from my childhood passion for baseball, where in order to make the playoffs formerly you had to be the best in your conference or division. Seccond best was only a ticket home. Its really such a minor issue though and I probably shouldn't even consider it.

In spite of K's and his program's greatness, he only landed one out of four of his fall recruiting targets.

It's nice to see a consistently competitive Maryland team now as well as the resergence in Raleigh. I can't believe how bad Clemson and GA Tech have become. Clemson's hiring of Rick Barnes was one of the worst things ever to happen to the ACC. Him and his style of play degraded the ACC and has done perhaps permanent damage to the Clemson program. How I long for the days of Cliff Ellis's program much to my surprise. I can't believe that Virginia once attempted to hire Barnes as well.
