B: ADVANTS PUBLIC INTERNET ACCESS NAMES BRAD TAIT CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb 14, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Advants Public
Internet Access has named Brad Tait chief operating officer. Tait will
be responsible for the establishment and implementation of Advants'
nationwide system of public Internet access terminals.

Tait was president of Grow Biz International's Disc Go Round, It's
About Games and ReTool operating divisions. He was also Musicland's
divisional vice president of marketing and merchandising, where he had
annual sales responsibilities in excess of $900 million for the
company's 800 stores. Tait will apply his experience of introducing new
product concepts and new store formats for mall-based stores as well as
stand-alone stores to Advants' roll-out of public Internet access
terminals.

Advants is building a nationwide network of terminals and plans to
install more than 30,000 public access Internet terminals over the next
three years in a variety of public locations, including grocery stores,
hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. In addition to the kiosk's
computer, monitor and keyboard, Advants terminals include a dollar bill
acceptor and credit card swipe, allowing users to initiate e-commerce
transactions with either cash or credit.

"We're thrilled to welcome someone with Brad's insights and diverse
retail experience spanning 30 years, as well as his background in
marketing and sales," said Gregory T. Johnson, Advants president and
CEO. "Brad will be a major contributor to our success as we
aggressively expand into new markets."

Twin Cities-based Advants, Inc. is a majority owned subsidiary of
Choicetel Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: PHON), which owns and operates
approximately 2,000 pay telephones. Advants plans to install terminals
nationally.
