Chromatics Color Sciences Names Korten as Head of Engineering NEW YORK, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Chromatics Color Sciences International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CCSI) announced today that Jerry Korten has been named Director of Engineering for the New York-based color science technology company. In this newly-created position, Mr. Korten will be responsible for all hardware and software development for new applications of CCSI's technology. Mr. Korten comes to CCSI from Spacelabs Medical, Inc., in Redmond, Washington, where he had been Director of Product Development since 1996, involved in hardware and software development and implementation. From 1996 to 1998 he also was President of New York-based Medelex, Inc., designing and implementing clinical trials for a respiratory therapy device under a National Institutes of Health grant. From 1988 to 1995 Mr. Korten was with Vitaltrends Technology, Inc., New York -- President from 1993 to 1995 -- where his experience included overseeing the engineering design and manufacture of the company's Neonatal Workstation (a high-acuity diagnostic clinical information system) and directing the nationwide sales and marketing effort. From 1982 to 1986, he was Manager of Computer Systems in the Department of Pediatrics of Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. Mr. Korten holds a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree in bioengineering from the University of Michigan.
