Just because you haven't seen it happen on NT doesn't mean that
it doesn't happen. I was merely pointing out the obvious to
Steve Lee in his post about all the "problems" (excuses) MSFT
has with 3rd party suppliers of software.

If your O/S crashes because of a 3rd party driver, it's your
problem. If M$FT can't certify & test 3rd party drivers ahead
of time, it's their problem. If they certify & test 3rd party
drivers and they still cause significant O/S crashes, they don't
know how to test driver software.

Yeah, anything can happen in development, and does. But, if
you're ready for prime-time, the customer doesn't suffer for
it. SUNW has had it's problems w/ Solaris (2.2 comes to mind).
The customers had to be the guinea pigs and helped with the
debugging. Since 2.4, however, it's been extremely stable and
reliable.

No, I've never seen an application crash Solaris.
