greatest threats to this entire technical E-conomy that is mushrooming globally, is intense rapidly repeated computer virus and hacker attacks.

Not talking about it will not make it go away.

BTW, the belief among many hackers seems to be that the DoS attacks were either (depending on how extreme you are)

1) Done by an NSA-like agency in order to build support for the govt's electronic eavesdropping measures

2) Hyped to and by the media for the same reason as #1

No one is claiming responsibility for the attacks, and I don't think anyone will, even in the hacker underground. Reading sites like 2600.com makes it clear that whoever perpetrated the attacks is a laughingstock for real hackers. There's nothing subtle or skillful about DoS. It's not the sort of thing you brag about doing, unless you go around bragging that just this morning you successfully tied your shoelaces. :-) Perhaps the one "skilled" aspect of it is the distributed nature of the attacks, but that ain't rocket science either.

As for threats to the "e conomy" (argh, I don't like these catchwords), every new form of business brings security threats. People had the same security worries when credit cards were introduced, when checking accounts were introduced, when paper money was introduced... it just takes time to overcome the growing pains. Nothing to get too alarmed about for you as a shareholder.
