Here's an e-mail from a newly-installed NT customer I'm running NT on a HPKyak XA....Microsoft WORD is FLASHING an open document and the icon on my toolbar. My mouse can't do anything with it.... can't close it; can't open it.... This is a controlled and IS-approved installation here at *****, so I don't think we can give this crash any excuses for wierdo installations.... I'm going to have to REBOOT to get my computer back.... Plus, I lost my edits to my document. Yeah, rudedog, really good quality control from Redmond. Maybe it's because of all those poorly-written and difficult to control 3rd party products. Sure, NT is a generation down from VMS, except it's evolving in the wrong direction (de-generation). VMS was pretty successful, wasn't it??? I see it ALL OVER THE PLACE with ALL THOSE MACHINES FROM DEC that everyone seems to use these days. Gee, it's almost as popular as MVS.
