DT will keep a minority stake in the nine regional CATV plants. They have changed the conditions of the spin-off several times during the past months; currently the plan is to sell 35%, to float 40% at a later stage (when US subscriber values have reached $10K?) and to keep a 25% stake.

DT's market cap is around $260 billion currently which seems too much even for WCOM. Additionally the government still holds a majority stake.

Other CATV players in Germany: publicly listed ones are ATHM via partner Telecolumbus (currently controlled by Deutsche Bank), about 2 mio subs, and PCAG, 1 mio subs. PCAG seems to drift to the UPCOY sphere of influence.
