Cheryl: I'm as pro-Sun as anybody. However, I also have as much technical understanding as almost anybody, and I haven't really seen rudedog say anything particularly out of line. I haven't seen him make a parity claim for NT and Solaris. I have seen him try to explain some of the differences. I also saw him, earlier, describe the market's perception of Sun's "architectural dominance" or whatever the term was that he used, as the reason it's stock is highly valued, something which I think we all probably agree with.

From my point of view, it's like this: who would you rather argue with, rudedog or Jim Kelley? In one case you might learn something, or look at something from a new perspective. In the other case you just listen to moronic bleating until you hit the "ignore forever" button. I never object when intelligent people express opinions politely, even if their opinion doesn't always coincide with mine. I think rudedog is an intelligent person and I haven't seen him be impolite.

As for Steve Lee, he's an arrogant young man, but I wish I had bought some RMBS last week, that's for sure.
