Semi-off thread: At the Developer's Conference, Intel will be promoting the Web 3D capabilities of its upcoming chips. Let's face it who need a 900 Mhz chip to run a spread sheet, but seeing realistic 3D models is a different story. You might be interested in one company that Intel has worked with in the past in this area and has arguably the leading 3D web software: Metastream, a joint venture 20% owned by Computer Associates and 80% owned by Metacreations (MCRE). In a filing today it was announced that Paul Allen has taken an 8% stake in MCRE. See: tenkwizard.com
