Re: "The real key is Intel binsplits. If intel is yielding the same bin splits as AMD we will see a mighty big oversupply- and both AMD/Intel could get hurt. If Intels binsplits are lower than AMD - Intel could be in a WORLD of hurt in Q2.If AMDs binslits are lower than AMD- AMD will hurt big time in Q2. Place your bets!!!!"

My guess is the new Intel stepping will be centered around 940MHz. With a reasonable +/- 12.5% 3 sigma distribution, virtually everything could ship as 733MHz with minimum 11% guardband. Also, there would be at least some shippable 933MHz parts. Actually, I don't see why they wouldn't center the distribution even higher (say 980MHz). That would guarantee the ability to launch 933MHz in quantity. They weren't very aggressive with the center target of the initial launch. AMD took advantage of it. They would be foolish to make the same mistake again.I guess we'll see by late March.
