Paul, Re: Shame for Intel. Shame for Sun. I was hoping Solaris on IA/64 would be good for both companies. Maybe a bit naive. John Hull seemed a bit touchy when I asked about Solaris in the server farms and, looking back, I wonder if this has been brewing for some time. I do appreciate John's input and hope he'll comment if he has anything to add. So much good Intel news coming out, I hated to see this. Maybe Intel didn't want to be tied to Solaris, like it was to Windows. This way Intel can let lesser OS's fight it out. Does that make any sense? Again, appreciate your comments. Just slightly confused. Nothing new <vbg> . dmf
