The option contract is still a valid contract after a reorganization. The impact is in the terms of the contract. Those terms are adjusted so as to be fair to both buyer and seller. They're adjusted by a third party (that mysterious committee) so fairness is assured.

As to the "discrepancy between the reported 93% vs 80%," I don't really think there is a discrepancy. The 80% number came from the original S-1, which is kind of a trial balloon. As the details are firmed up, S-1/A's (A=ammendments) are filed that clarify those details. Think about it like this:
S-1 - Gee, maybe we'll sell about 20% and keep 80% to distribute to COMS shareholders.
S-1/A - OK, we figured it out now. We're going to sell 7% and keep 93% to distribute to COMS holders. Just forget about that original 20%/80% split we originally mentioned.
