Macrovision is required for DVD, along with CSS. Each Company that wants to make an integrated encoder, or decoder, must license it. 26 companies have licenses, even OEMs who most likely won't use their own DVD chip. My point was, only these 26 companies plan to compete in the DVD area. Crystall makes audio chips, not video, they license Macrovision. You can eliminate a lot of the companies that are mentioned in the PRs from competing with CUBE.

That was my point. By watching Macrovision, you can get a handle on the competition.
