Chi, I don't know what Dow Jones was reading, but I'm looking at the new prices right now, and it seems that the largest percentage price cut was on the Desktop 200 mhz, 3.3v PPGA. This chip's price was cut from $498 to $257. The next largest price cut was on the Pentium Pro 166 mhz with 512K cache. All other price cuts were less than 20%, and most products had no price reduction, or less than 5%.
It would appear to me, from what you posted, that the DJ's news ALERT, of price cuts as much as 52%, was INTENTIONALY MISLEADING. Remember that it was the rumor, (Drew Peck?), that Intel was expected to announce severe price cuts, that caused Intel to sell off from the 150's. Someone was selling Intel on erroneous information.
