NHC Announces Successful Interoperability Testing with Promatory IMAS
Interoperability testing is the first phase towards preparing Service
Providers for large scale DSL Test Access and Deployment
MONTREAL, Feb. 15 /CNW/ - NHC Communications Inc. (TSE: NHC), developer
of the Virtual Cross Connect Solution (VCCS) for Digital Subscriber Lines
(DSL) Test Access & Deployment and Promatory Communications, a leading
provider of broadband multiservice access solutions, announced today that they
have successfully completed interoperability testing between NHC's VCCS
Solution and Promatory's IMAS -- Intelligent Multiservice Access System.
The integration between NHC's VCCS Solution and Promatory's IMAS provides
equipment side ``connectorization' and future cross-platform integration to
facilitate the delivery of DSL services rapidly and cost-effectively.
TOP OF THE LEAGUE
The interoperability sets a new benchmark for Competitive Local Exchange
Carriers (CLECs) and Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers's (ILECs) alike to set
up and service their co-location environments. Through the combined solution
qualified DSL loops can now instantly and automatically be connected to
Digital Subscriber Lines Access Multiplexers (DSLAMs) without the need to send
expensive technical personnel to the Central Office, thereby eliminating
multiple truck-rolls.
