My guess for Intel's "lab" demonstration today is that it will be a 1.3 to 1.5 GHz Willamette at room temperature in a 0.13u (assuming the design rules scale) lab process. With the estimated die sizes for Willamette that are floating around, I would guess that Intel can not go into volume production of the Willamette until they migrate to 0.13u. This may safely limit any unexpectedly early introduction.

Also, the flood of CuMine that will hit the market soon does not concern me too much. Intel has already let the Athlon get a foothold. Thunderbird and Spitfire will solidify Athlon in the marketplace. I believe that by this fall, CuMine will be selling at a discount to Athlon derivatives, as it will have been pushed down into the Celeron segmentation where it will struggle to compete with the Spitfire.
