Merck-DuPont's DMP-266 looks like a real winner of an anti-HIV drug. It is a non-nucleoside drug and I heard a seminar about it last week. This could change the whole HIV field by the middle of 1998. They are seeing 4 to 5 log reduction in titer with DMP-266 alone- that is 10,000 fold or more. I have not been following Gilead closely the past many months but if you are long Gilead you should check out the news on DMP-266 and make your own decisions.
