I didn't mean to be so hard on biotech. But that same 99% does not have the technical skills to determine which sector is the 'breakout' sector.
Normally, it seems, that that is created by ONE company making a great technological breakthrough. The problem with that is that the investor must, at least initially, make that determination on his own.
You cheat, you have a technical background, so you have an edge. That is really not true momo, you know.
But rationally, if you succeed in finding that one company that has made a legitimate breakthru, you are now betting on its direct competition within the sector. Economically, this makes no sense.
Given your expertise in picking that first company, wouldn't it make more sense to simply invest in it and hold.
This of course is not momo investing, this is value analysis.
