It's unlikely to use Cree LED. I e-mailed investor relations asking about the availability of a flashlight using Cree LED so that I could show friends what a white Cree LED could do. Their response was that I should take them down to the VW showroom. Thanks a lot, that's a big help <<gg>> The lack of Cree LED in these flashlights or other consumer portable product indicates that they may not be as bright as Nichia products, despite what Cree claims. If they were cheaper and brighter wouldn't these companies be using them ? OTOH, maybe they can't get them because of capacity problems.
