Good Morning, Nancy. I always enjoy your posts because I know that that you have love in your heart and you always speak in truth and concern for others.
Our Apostle Paul primary purpose from God was to teach and incorporate Gentiles into the body of Christ. I know how he deeply loved the Jewish people. He would not depart from his doctrine and was specific that we should beware the teachings of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. His doctrine was pure. Believe in Christ and His resurrection.Preach only the love of Christ and proclaiming God's offer of Grace as the only way to be reconciled to God.
It is when we begin to add to Paul's teachings that we are guilty of the leaven of the Pharisees. They came behind Paul and tried to add to Christ's message by teaching false doctrine. Even today this false teaching continues to be taught by Christian leaders that add rituals, restrictions and requirements to God's revealed Word for the body of Christ and so cause sincere believers to follow like sheep.
Many have placed themselves under the doctrine of law and others are trying to recover the miracle signs of Pentacost.
They observe Holy days, footwashing and all sorts of forms and ceremonies which are contrary to Paul' teachings under the dispensation of Grace.
"He answered and said to them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 7 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.œ 8For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men œ the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do. 9He said to them, All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. 10For Moses said, Honor your father and your mother?;œ and, He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.œ 11But you say, If a man says to his father or mother, Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban??? (that is, a gift to God), 12then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, 13making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do. Mark 7:
Thanks for posting. Hope that you are having a great day in the Lord.
