so did the mac. mike's point was that motorola, zenith and most of xlnx's major customers won't have a need for xlnx in the future because they'll be producing what they need themselves.

do you really see the head design engineer telling the ceo that "the products we manufacture at much less cost and work just fine won't be used because we used xilinx logic in college. sorry if this impacts your profits..."

really, dan. we seem to back to to this every lady is named rosie scenario bit...

btw, the same arguement was used for atml. the ees just luv atml. by looking at their flat eps i guess love spurned is a terrible thing.
