several new members to its management team.
Greg Caton has joined the company as a member of its board of
directors. Caton was the initial founder of Nutrition for Life
(Nasdaq:NFLI) which ultimately became a $100 million revenue company.
After leaving Nutrition for Life he founded Lumen Foods in 1986
(www.soybean.com) which today manufactures the best-selling
"vegetarian meat" snack on the North American continent, Stonewall's
Jerquee. He is the author of "The Lumen Book" (1986), an
interdisciplinary work on vegetarianism and the role of meat analogs,
with over 40,000 copies in print. Caton has been a speaker on the
emerging importance of soy protein for over 10 years and was a keynote
speaker at the International Soyfoods Conference in Mexico City in
1997.
Bruce MacFarland, Ph.D, has joined the company as senior
technical and new product development consultant. MacFarland has been
instrumental in creating state-of-the-art nutritional and cosmetic
products and technology for the past 40 years. He is a member of
several professional organizations including the American Holistic
Medical Association, the American College of Alternative Medicine, and
the American Preventive Medical Society.
Alex Fleming has joined the company as new product development
and marketing consultant. He is a graduate of the College of Wooster
and holds an MBA in marketing from Bowling Green University. He has 25
years experience in developing and marketing health care products.
