Amat beats earnings by 3cts and announces a 2 for 1 stock split. Stock is up 5 in after hours to 171. I remember when this stock like Msft was in the dog house and trading at around 28. Gee look at it now!! The beatened down price of Microsoft just a couple of days before the release of windows 2000 has got to be one of the most G damn frustrating thing to witness. Dell did not help the other days with his dumb comments at the conference and his remarks caused the stock of Microsoft to get pounced, Now today he is trying to clean up the damage but I don't know if any of the momentum boys is listening. I also don't think that they are interested in seeing buying of beatened down call options by those hoping to make a quick killing. All the negatives thrown at Microsoft has indeed hurt the performance but it could happen to any company with this administration. One only has to look at their portfolio lately and decide what party to elect next year. High interest rates, high oil prices, threat from the Fed, threats to Microsoft from the DOJ about breaking up the company. Who needs this shit? Time to vote for a change.
