JC -
I would agree 100% with Cheryl's characterization of Windows 9X as "crap" - and also with Scott's "hairball" or any other bunch of derogatory comments. It is barely even an OS, does not do pre-emptive multitasking or even real memory management...

But Cheryl is throwing NT into the same category and it just ain't so. NT is a solid and well designed OS. It does not have the stability of Solaris but it is only 5 years old, Solaris has a 20 year heritage.

Likewise she was completely off base in discussions about several SUNW market segments, She misrepresented starefire volumes, and did not understand where the product is used - she thought it was a big web server platform when in fact it is primarily a back end component and I would be surprised if ANYONE bought one as a primary web host...

She also was off by an order of magnitude about starefire reliability and the reliability of SUNW platforms in general...

She also does not appear to know that there are currently 10 times as many VMS systems running mission critical systems as Starfires...

I have little tolerance for people who make gross errors of fact, it makes me suspect everything they say. How can I trust her in areas where I am uninformed, when she proposes things which are clearly false in areas where I have the facts?
