Tom, I agree with Tom that genomics is a wild card here. The biotechs as of late have been acting like dot coms, so enjoy the ride. Placing a value on the company isn't easy. You need to line up all the late phase clinical trials, make an assessment of the likelihood of success and then try to estimate annual sales going out. No question there's a synergy here. Many more drugs in the pipeline, it removes the risk that a failure could knock the company and the stock into the trash can. As a larger company, analyst interest interest will no doubt increase, which in turn will increase the value of the stock.
