Like Scott said where your information is stored and replicated will be up to you. Obviously a laptop or PDA with SAN Disk would always allow you to take your information with you. But you don't have to be limited to this it could be any removeable media such as a Zip Drive, SuperDisk, or Jaz Drive. By using a removeable media you don't have to be connected to access your information. You only have to be connected to re-synchronize changes.

I would love it if all PC/PDA companies could standardize on some form of removeable media the size of a credit card that would fit in a wallet that I could just plug into devices without any other special hardware.
