NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 2000--deltathree.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:DDDC.O), a global provider of IP telephony services and other enhanced, web-based communications services, today announced a strategic partnership with Quicknet Technologies, Inc. to produce a new, privately-labeled PC card to connect standard phones with PCs. The card will be available in March 2000. The new product will provide high quality phone service over deltathree.com's managed network, which currently provides 1.7 million users worldwide with phone service over the Internet. The partnership will combine the power of deltathree.com's extensive communications portal with Quicknet's award winning line of add-in cards to allow a standard telephone to connect with a PC as well as reducing the delay and improving the clarity in Internet-based telephone calls. The new products will give users inexpensive, high-quality Internet voice transmission service while using a standard phone. deltathree.com's service can result in savings of up to 90 percent for frequent international callers. Additionally, Quicknet's current users can now plug in to the significantly improved deltathree.com Internet phone service with a minor software upgrade. "People are accustomed to speaking on a phone, not into a microphone. Hooking a standard telephone into a PC is the ideal system for speaking over the Internet," said Elie Wurtman, Chairman of deltathree.com. "We feel this partnership has integrated the power of Quicknet's premier hardware and software into the deltathree.com product line to offer a standard, more familiar interface than dialing-in via the keyboard and microphone." "This combination will dramatically increase the comfort and quality of calling for deltathree.com's customers," said Stacey Reineccius, Chairman of Quicknet Technologies, Inc. "Whenever quality and ease-of-use improve, the amount of usage increases and the type of usage broadens. We see that this partnership will increase customer satisfaction and usage for deltathree.com and sales for Quicknet Technologies."
