jhg - even a stopped clock is right twice a day. You've never posted a value case for your fad stocks. Had you been to the Intel Developer's Conference in Palm Springs this week, you would have heard Intel talking about RMBS for the first time in 6 months. That's what's driving the stock. The MENTION, not the VALUE. Volume users are still Nintendo and Play Station.

For me the value is in their patent dispute with Hitachi. Their memory structure looks to be a 3 year phenomenon limited to high end PC's/workstations. It's possible that Intel is using it as vaporware extension to their 1.5 GHz Williamette (sp).

Downside is that several (perhaps all) memory makers are siding with Hitachi. AMD is NOT using it. MOT is NOT using it. IA-64 - unknown.

L&H was interesting 3 years ago prior to the M$FT investment. It has NEVER been a value play. It appears to be an accounting play - hope and hype. My brief trial with one of its products 3 months ago was not good.

jhg - do me a favor and post your estimates on intrinsic value for these two companies.
