I agree completely! I've been thinking for a while that it would be cool ... maybe even carrying a IBM MicroDrive of data with me ...

The only issue is that you would only want to put it into "trusted" machines ... because even if the data were encrypted on the storage device, the computer it was put into would have to be able to access the data ... and then, in a sense, you have "shared" it ...

For some types of data, this would be fine ...
