Howard, If I wasn't such a darn nice guy, I say you have absolutely know idea what in the wide world of sports you are talking about. When you say "Read the particulars of this suit", have you??? Have you even seen the complaint?? Well, I have and it is all of 3 pages long, mostly containing "legalese" boilerplate-it has 2 exhibits, consisting of patents held by BD. There really are no "particulars"in this short complaint. Lest you think these are the only 2 patents in the world and are so intimidating that Qdel is getting ready to fold its tent, please note that Qdel itself has a few patents which appear to have some bearing on this dispute, such as #4,943,522, #5,415,994, #5,424,193, #5,521,102, and #5,536,646. Please refer to my post #704 for a more complete discussion of #5,415,994, which Quidel considers to be the main patent applicable to Qdel's Strep A QuickVue test, which you say accounts for "80% of revenues".
Also, what do you mean "no more H. Pylori test kit"????????? It is not even mentioned in the BD suit. If you had "read the particulars of this lawsuit" as you so pompously advise others to do, you would have realized this.
When you say "I'm out and staying out", I certainly hope you are talking about staying out of Qdel stock generally as well as this thread in particular. I follow both TRIBY and Qdel on these threads and, after you were "run off" from the TRIBY thread last year for your inaccurate, manipulative and self-serving posts (as well as posting under false names!), I was hoping you would abandon the Qdel thread as well. No such luck, it seems. Stay if you must, although it is hard to imagine why you would want to do so if you are telling the truth about "staying out" of Qdel stock. My only comment to others on this thread is to point out that you, Howard (or Susan Dey or whatever pseudonym you prefer to use these days) have an agenda other than a constructive and accurate discussion of this stock. I would invite others on this thread to take Howard's comments with a grain of salt. Sometimes half-truths are worse that flat out lies. Do your own research-call the company-read the complaint- or do whatever else you deem appropriate- but if you depend on Howard for your info on Qdel or any other stock- you do so at your own (considerable) risk.
Like I said, Howard, if I wasn't such a darn nice guy,.......

BOB
