the best analysis of Rambus' value and potential was by Hambert(sp) & Quist about two years ago. Ask on the RMBS- Eagle or Penquin thread. sorry I do not have a link. In my view, RMBS is worth at least 300 by the end of the year if its product continues to ship, which is now assured.
You are right that five years or less from now someone may have built a better mousetrap. Nonetheless, in this time frame, RMBS is a 'toll bridge' for all PCs.
