Harmon: “RealNetworks (RNWK) missed the chance to buildout a great multimedia portal brand. It could have leveraged its player into a portal for broadband. Yes, it now has one, but plenty of startups and established firms are moving in. Netscape made the same mistake, focusing too much on software and not enough on being a media network.”
