IDS Technology To Combat Drug Trafficking in South Amercia

Division lands significant NDS- 2000 order
IDS Intelligent Detection Systems Inc., (TSE: ISD) announced
today that its Analytical & Security division received a
significant order for 11 NDS-2000 drug detection devices from a
key South American country. This sale is of particular
importance because it provides the South American market with a
reliable and effective means of combating illegal drug
distribution, which is rampant in the region.
Governments and their drug enforcement agencies in this region
need solutions and products to effectively address the growing
problem of drug trafficking . This order signifies their
acceptance of, and confidence in, IDS's proprietary drug
detection products. It also solidifies the division's position as
the market leader in the field of portable and powerful trace
detection products worldwide. IDS expects future sales of its
trace detection products and systems in the South American
region.
The NDS-2000 is capable of detecting particulates of cocaine,
heroin, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and methamphetamine within
seconds, making it a key component in critical drug detection
scenarios. The NDS-2000 is used by a number of different
industries and law enforcement institutions, including security
forces, correctional institutions, postal services and schools.
