Saturn, what do you mean by that statement? Was die size a problem with cumine? >

If the Wilamette die size is too big the availability this year will be limited. A 2X Willamette Die Size will probably mean that the same number of 0.18micron wafers will only produce about 25-30% die when compared to the Coppermine. [ Larger Die reduce numner of die on Wafer, The edge of the wafer kills more die, and the percentage yield also drops]. Given a fixed Wafer Fab Capacity, and if the Die size is too large,Intel will price the Willamette high to limit its demand so that it does not create a demand volume it cannot fulfill.

However if Willamette is only 1.5 X the Coppermine die size, Willamette may be in volume production earlier than Intel's official position.
