Does NOK use any q chips in its U.S. phones?

If not, over on the Yahoo Club Board, there is an assertion that NOK phones being sold in the East contain unmarked Q chips.

IT's A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! efficient_frontiers

An RF engineer friend of mine in pensylvania inspected the NOK phone that I broke the other day. He is 99% positive that this unmarked chipset is manufactured by our beloved QCOM. What else can I say, other than that it makes me more comfortable with my investment. Not that I was not comfortable before.

Is there any credence to this claim?
