Double Click
When I saw they were halted I did a little research. I think this article explains the FTC concerns.

For kicks I went to PC Mag and downloaded their new utility, "Cookie Cop" which selectively blocks cookies. It wasn't a simple install, but it works great. And you need to decide which cookies you want to keep or reject on an individual basis. After browsing for a half hour I checked the stats and found I had blocked 78 cookie requests from double click. They're everywhere. Imagine if they ever get your personal data to go along with the cookie.
BTW, for anyone interested, here's the download site. (You will need to go into your browser preferences and make some manual changes to use it). Read the instructions carefully if you decide to try it. <g>

I also tried another utility from PC Mag, "AdSubtract", that automatically sets up in your browser and not only blocks double click, but removes all banner ad's. It also works fine and doesn't require any manual set-up. It isn't very convenient for blocking cookies other than double Click. (Unfortunately you can't have both on your browser). BTW, you can easily uninstall AdSubtract with an .exe file if you decide you don't want it. For anyone interested here's the download site for AdSubtract.

Both utilities are free.
