www.3d.com is a good starting place to view C-3D's products. DDE has a neat idea - they are using the VBI (vertical blanking interrupt) portion of the video signal to transmit encoded 3D information. Not a bad idea, if somewhat limited. The real issue though, IMO, is content. DDE can transmit encoded 3D but (and this, I feel, is the vital difference) where is that 3D content to come from? They have a single hardware innovation. Who is to supply the content? C-3D has a breadth a products that cover the entire spectrum. A 24/7, 3D channel broadcasting 1) True3D original content produced at their Venice Beach production studio and 2) converted movies from the ever-increasing stable of licensed movies that are converted from 2D to 3D using C-3D's patented DeltaVision conversion process.

Not only does C-3D offer a premium cable channel to the subscribers of their "partner" cable companies but they also sell a standalone set-top box that allows consumer to convert ANY standard video signal to 3D - on the fly! At home, real time. This converter also has proprietary patented technology that is worth a bundle.

The Hotel Movie Network not only is a gerat revenue producer in it's own right, it also allows a synergistic advertising platform for the C3DTV cable channel and/or home converter units. The number of rooms served continues to grow quarterly.

3D.COM is, again IMO, poised to become a huge hit. 3D is rapidly becoming all the rage. 3D.COM is offering streaming 3D video over the net, 3D eCommerce thatis way past cool, etc.

Strata (wholly owned C-3D subsidiary) has a huge customer base for it's leading 3D modeling and graphics software, not to mention the bundled digital video editing software currently being resold/bundled by many companies such as Apple(!), etc.
DDE has a neat hardware idea that could be viably integrated into a set top box - thus the interest from Motorola ( a leading supplier of set top box components) but that's the extent of their product. Interesting but not enough so (IMO) to sustain an entire company. C3D has a vision and is marching consistently forward to implement that vision.
