Is not Knight the largest market maker in the U.S.? Aren't they highly automated? Do you think they sit around figuring how to screw the little guy on a trade by trade basis? Automation has seemed to lower the spreads in the financial world. It has also increased the volume of stock traded on NASDAQ. I would think that maybe the problem you are having is with your broker or just the market in general. Advice: Don't place market orders. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. Maybe I just don't understand your gripe. People can always go elsewhere, I guess. GC
