It seems that some things will never change. I finaly took a bit off the table after 10x gains awhile back and the stocks jump another 30% or more! Still, nice to know I have my initial grubstake and then some out. I guess you either hold for the long term overall trend of up or try to time it to some level.

Was it just two years ago that I commented to a friend that it seemed that TSMC would give their eldest son in the deal to have you use some of their capacity? Actually, I think it was only 18 months ago!

Believe it or not, what brought me to this market sector was it seemed like a way to buy derivatives on the semiconductor companies without having to pay time premiums and you got capital gains treatment to boot!

I sure enjoy the discussion here from the scared bears to the wild optimists. I feel I swing between optimistic to middle of the road.

It is also interesting that OPEC seems so similar - raise prices too high and the US builds 80 MPG hybrid cars and outlaws SUVs. Only difference is OPEC just gets their raw material beneath the sand.
