Winter ain't over til' its over....From the Weather Channel...

A potent winter storm will affect a good portion of the nation over the next couple of days. This storm will feature heavy snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain and severe thunderstorms. The storm will move into the West Coast overnight and emerge east of the Rockies on Thursday.

As the storm moves eastward out of the Rockies, a band of moderate to heavy snow will sweep across Nebraska and Iowa during the day. More than six inches of snow will blanket Des Moines Iowa. Snow should reach Chicago by evening and heavy snow will fall on Thursday night and Friday morning. Snow will make it to Detroit by midnight Thursday night and become heavy early on Friday. A band of mixed precipitation will cross central Missouri into central Illinois and move into extreme southern Michigan by Friday. The winter storm will affect the Northeast on Friday. Severe weather will move into the southern Plains and northern Texas on Thursday may threaten parts of the Southeast by Friday.
