NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 2000--Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. Quirk, Vice President - Finance and Business Development, has been named Treasurer.
Ms. Quirk joined FCX in 1989 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the Treasury, Investor Relations, and Finance groups, most recently Vice President - Finance and Business Development, a position she will retain. Previously, Ms. Quirk was with Mobil Oil Corporation in Dallas, Texas.
Craig E. Saporito, previously Senior Vice President and Treasurer of FCX retired effective February 15, 2000.
