Michael, why do I keep thinking that you are some kind of a right-wing nut? These natural laws, you talk about have been out of fashion for lo these many years. I am afraid your legal knowledge was drilled into you by Perry Mason overexposure. I know and work with many lawyers who are far more ethical and humane than most of the people in the world. I have known deputy attorneys general who refused sure shots to save the State a lot of money but would have required destroying people. Most of them they won anyway. I have known plaintiffs' lawyers to fight for their clients' hopeless cases at great cost to their character and reputation. I don't approve, but the existence of lawyers who will fight this way is very reassuring. If they win, they will make money. That is the real motivation for people in our country. Very few of us will go to work if we are not paid. And few will work on contingency. Whom God abandoned, they defended, and saved the sum of things for pay.
