Re Computer future
I have to disagree somewhat on their disappearance.
I need a printer and a scanner both having a minimum base size, and prefer a loadable CD/dvd , DD, and speakers at the home work station. And a standard keyboard suitable for large fingers and poorer eyesight.
Logical to have all these in a central location on the main floor. ( all available at ~$899 and change)hehe
So I picture the size of the PC box could be reduced but still be present and a minimum 17 "LCD screen ( when cheaper) replacing the
monitor.
Your favorite wireless technology may replace the cables and communicate with the server in the basement. Household controls
could be centralized in the computer or adjustable at the device itself.
One reason for retaining the standard keyboard is that every business uses them and the users have developed speed and comfort
in their use. Though maybe the smaller portable keyboards will become the in thing. FWIW
