SOME QUOTES:

Sometimes the figures quoted are the pre-open bid and ask.

If they are not really ready to roll for the day, I think
that for the ask price they use:

-- the highest sell order they have on hand
-- a figure arrived at by spinning a roulette wheel

Neither should be taken too seriously!
