If you think that less data (1 year increase) gives a more accurate picture of inflation than more (10 year increase), you need to brush up on your statistics, then. Otherwise, you may also be tempted to extrapolate NASDAQ one day gains into 500 fold yearly increases, or a 10 dollar/gallon gasoline by 2003.

PS: BTW, I thought you guys were incredulous that someone's expenses may actually have gone down over a few years. Now that I forward some data, you revert to one year? Ho ho ho!
