DS and thread - This is the most complicated bit of software I have ever seen. I have just bought W2000 professional and I havea Toshiba Portege 7020CT. I have an Ilyama Prolite sreen and a Psion ISDN modem. I have forst to update the Toshibas BIOS and various other internal control software programmes. Then I have downloaded a review programe from MSFT and it analyzed my computer and delivered a 4 page list of incompatible items which included most of my daily software, including JFAX, WinFAX, McAfee; my HP PhotSmart printer; my CE devices; ...etc etc etc and finally my ISDN modem. Psion just told me that my computer won't work under W2000 with the Psion modem without the new W2000 drivers for the card and guess what Psion don't have them yet and can't give me a date when they will have. I love MSFT but this is a total joke. I am pretty computer literate and I am having a really bad time with this and so I have now abandoned the attempt to upgrade. What will people who are less computer literate do??? Best regards, L
