Great Basin @1 5/8. (US42mm mkt cap - US3mm cash) is a good example of how modest gold stock investor expectations are now days. Here we have a company that is associated with the successful Hunter-Dickinson (the two Bobs) group, has a great prospect at Ivanhoe (100% owned, with 5% production royalty to FN) on the Carlin Trend between FN's Ken Synder and ABX's Goldstrike world class mines. The stock traded at about $1.00 last summer, then GBG goes through nearly 52,000 feet of drilling in 53 core holes, hits 72 high grade bonanza veins averaging 5.5 feet grading 35 grams/ton. In the meantime POG goes up $50, and GBG still has the funds to start this month on a third phase of drilling.

ALL THIS AND THE STOCK GOES UP ONLY 50%. This illustrates in my mind the complete lack of understanding concerning the ability of this industry to create substantial wealth relatively quickly. That's the allure of exploration investing. If others can't see a gift horse staring them in the face, we should.
