"Recent converts to bearism"

One of the more reliable signs of a bottom is when the non-professionals switch to the short side. I urge would-be amateur shorts to invest some time in a library or bookstore reading what some of the investing greats have to say about shorting. It's a very dangerous game if you don't pay very close attention to what you are doing. There is no "easy money" on Wall Street. If you think you've found some, you're fooling yourself, and early "success" can lead to later catastrophe.
