NextLink sets two-for-one stock split
MCLEAN, Va., Feb 16 (Reuters) - Broadband communication provider NextLink Communications Inc. (NasdaqNM:NXLK - news) said Wednesday it approved a two-for-one stock split of its Class A and Class B common shares in the form of a stock dividend.

Shareholders of record on June 1, 2000, will get one share of NextLink common stock for each share held, with distribution June 15.

The split is subject to shareholder approval of an increase in the company's authorized common stock. If approved, this will be the second time the stock has split in less than a year.

In July 1999, NextLink set a two-for-one stock split in that took effect in August of that year.

NextLink shares rose 2-1/8 to close at 104-11/16 on the Nasdaq stock market.
