The fundamentals have changed in the sense that money is being raised by many technology stocks via IPO's and secondaries rather than through debt issuance. In addition, acquisition-based growth strategies often involve stock-for-stock deals. The increase in stock price of both T and X, if maintained, provides improved access to capital and enhanced ability to pursue acquisitions.
